Heroes Build in Iligan

The Lafarge Iligan Team joined 80 other Teams in the Gawad Kalinga (GK) Bayani Challenge last April. Composed of employees, their family members, LII Scholars and contractors, they spent time under the sun to help build one house in the Bayanihan Village, a GK Relocation Site in Sta. Elena, Iligan City for families who lost their homes during Typhoon Sendong.

True to the Lafarge value of caring for the community, the volunteer homebuilders willingly contributed their time and effort over a week to build a house that has since become a home to one family displaced by the typhoon.
